Martindale Sponsored Walk, Sunday 19th May

All the walkers met in the car park at Hurley. Even on a Sunday there was room for all of our cars, although it is a popular place for walkers, and visitors to the village, and was therefore very busy.

There was 16 walkers, and three dogs, this year which was the most people we have ever had on a walk. A great start.

At 11 am we set off to the river and headed east towards Marlow.

A lunch stop in Marlow was very welcome. We needed the rest of the wak to walk off the lunches.

After lunch we walked through Marlow High Street and out of the town before heading north up into the woods.

Eventually following footpaths from the woods and across fields we arrived back at the river and followed the river side walk back to Hurley. But first we stopped for a last cup of tea at Hurley Lock, a few minutes from the end of the walk.

A very big thank you to all the walkers who came along and made the walk a success. Thanks also to Jack for planning the route and waking it more than once, all in a good cause.
